TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — An 8-year-old is recovering in the hospital after Hillsborough County officials say she was attacked by dog.
A fire rescue statement says the girl was transported to the hospital Sunday afternoon after being bitten by an American Staffordshire Terrier in Tampa. The dog was taken away by animal control.
The girl received serious injuries. No one else was injured.
Authorities are investigating.
